Can Newton's 2nd Law be Violated on Earth?

from PhysOrg.com Astrophysicists have found evidence that a corrected version of Newton’s 2nd Law (which deals with the acceleration of mass) works well on the grand scale of the universe. These modifications to Newtonian physics are known as “modified Newtonian dynamics (MOND). “Newton offers a foundation for classical mechanics in the relationship of force, mass and accelerations,” Alex Ignatiev explains to PhysOrg.com . “These are always true, except in special cases.” [ ... ]

Wine

Ehh.. it didn't take a lot of time to rediscover wine after I made a huge switch to ubuntu last month. After all, there isn't any reason now to keep running windows. I've managed to run the following softwares so far: 1. Adobe Photoshop 7 2. Macromedia Flash 8 3. Macromedia Dreamweaver 8 4. Winrar 5. Flashget but there was a little problem with Picasa 2.6!... Basically I couldn't use the web upload feature... It just wasn't recognizing that I had an internet connection. Damn that sucks. After reinstalling, looking into database and all, I found the error wasn't in Picasa at all but in wine itself due to a bug in wininet library... after some trial, I found that the default wine on the ubuntu repository was slightly older wine 0.9.22 I tried updating and it worked.. the commands? 1. Getting the apt-get list $sudo wget http://wine.budgetdedicated.com/apt/sources.list.d/edgy.list -O /etc/apt/sources.list.d/winehq.list 2. getting it updated $ sudo apt-get update 3.
